We used the services of Loving Companion based near Wigan in late July when our beloved dog George was coming to the end of his life, he was suffering from late stage heart failure and kept collapsing in his final 24 hours. Our friends recommended Loving Companion as they had used them a few weeks earlier and we didn’t want to have to get George into the car for a final visit to the vets. Clara and Estelle were wonderful from first contact to the day they returned George’s ashes to us, we chose a private cremation for George and received his ashes back in a beautiful casket with a brass plaque on the top bearing his name, we also had a paw 🐾 print done of George which sits proudly on our windowsill. We cannot praise Clara and Estelle high enough, they are so warm, caring and loving and thanks to them George passed peacefully in his own bed overlooking his beloved garden. Thank you Clara and Estelle for everything you did to help George pass so peacefully and for the compassion and warmth you showed to me and my wife during what was an incredibly emotional time. This company brought all that was needed to make a difficult time a little easier. Along with being caring, compassionate and professional the biggest component they brought which helped us the most was patience. They brought listening ears allowing us to tell them all the stories we wanted and not once did we feel rushed. They explained anything and everything we needed to know and gave us space for that all important goodbye. Everything was done on our terms in our own time and it was all so done peacefully and gracefully. All they offered (including paw and nose prints, a cutting of his hair in a little glass bottle) brought a little more peace to the time we’d been dreading. We could not recommend them enough and couldn’t thank them enough for the beautiful work they do for families in such difficult times. Thank-you again, because of you our boy went to sleep for the final time peacefully at home surround by our love and now gets to run young and pain free over the rainbow bridge 🌈🐾🐕

I just wanted to say, if anyone who is facing this difficult decision, Clara and Estelle are the best. I was so torn wondering if I was doing the right thing, the guilt I felt was enormous but I needn’t have worried at all. The girls were so understanding, kind, considerate and compassionate. They gave us the time we needed to say goodbye and made Harley’s passing so peaceful for him. His ashes were packaged so beautifully and I’m so grateful for his little lock of fur and his paw prints and the beautiful, heartfelt words in the card. Couldn't of asked for a better service for my girls final moments. They were so caring, understanding, patient and professional. They explained everything at every stage. There was no rush and I got to spend my last moments peacefully at home with my fur baby. I can't thank them enough and whole heartedly recommend them

My daughter’s dog Lola came to the end of her time with us last Saturday. Estelle and Clara came to make the final journey a peaceful and loving one for all concerned. It was much appreciated for my daughter and myself, thank you for enabling Lola to leave us so peacefully.

4 weeks ago after the sudden passing of our beautiful rescue girl Zara we heartbreakingly had to let our beautiful rescue boy Max join her. Initially we were told by our vets, home euthanasia wasn't possible due to his grumpiness shall we say. We knew he was a big softy at heart, after a horrible start in life we wanted him to have a peaceful end. Well these ladies did just that for us and most importantly our Max. We held him until the end and carried him on his final journey This has helped enormously with our grief Thank you from us all, Mike Sharon Emily & Grace ❤️

We had to say goodbye to our beautiful 11yr old St Bernard Bruno, my daughter contacted The Loving Companion to help us through the process. On the day the two girls arrived, they made us and Bruno comfortable, they were very knowable and full of compassion. For the most part they left us alone to be together. They didn’t rush us, they just waited until we were ready, I trusted them with Bruno they treated him with dignity. Bruno was returned home as promised a week later, with a paw and nose print, and a thoughtful card, can’t thank them enough. Would only use them in future.

When the time finally came for us to relieve our cherished Millie out of her suffering ,a family member recommended the loving companion .it was the best decision we have made ,every thing was explained from start to finish and the girls compassion was fantastic ,something we would not of got from our vets.as a family we were given as much time as we needed to say goodbye to Millie in our own home,the service we got was fantastic and would highly recommend the loving companion.

We would 100% recommend the loving companion from start to finish the service they provided was exceptional. Knowing our old girl Betty was only in the gentle hands of Clara and Estelle made the experience extra special. Thankyou ladies 🤍

We used the Loving Companion recently; our beloved Macca took a turn for the worst over the weekend after fighting hard against mouth cancer. This sadness of him having to suffer over the weekend will live with me. The ladies came earlier than originally booked on Monday morning. They treated him with the upmost respect and dignity; kind and gentle with him. I could not thank them enough. To find them while frantically searching the internet all the while waiting to hear from my own vets was nothing short of some Devine intervention. I do not use those words frivolously. Clara and Estelle ensured our beloved whippet of nearly 16years had a very dignified passing. They were kind and understanding making sure all our wishes were carried out. From the first phone call to the delivery of Wilma’s ashes, their professional nature was fabulous. They made an unbearable situation bearable by the way they conducted themselves and managed Wilma’s passing.
