It seems strange to write an enthusiastic review about such a sad experience, but I couldn’t not comment on how amazing The Loving Companion were during that time. I found them online and initially only decided to proceed with them because their website was so straightforward with available time slots and upfront fees. Our gorgeous Lola unfortunately had cancer and had deteriorated over the weeks before we found out. On waking on the Saturday morning she was just not herself and I made the decision not to let her carry on suffering. I booked The Loving Companion for the same day, and paid online. The two ladies who arrived were so warm and empathetic and they treated Lola with so much love and respect in her final minutes with us. I couldn’t have asked for a more dignified and loving end for her and I will be forever grateful for them. I even received a card through the post today a few days later showing just how thoughtful they are. I would highly recommend this company should you ever have the need. Thank you so much ❤️

Words cannot express our heartfelt gratitude for the way they gently put our boy Tyson to sleep. It's a heartbreaking decision for every owner, yet the same day I had to book a visit, Clara contacted me almost immediately offering support. When the ladies arrived they spent time stroking and petting Tyson while explaining what the process involved. They gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes before they took away his suffering. Clara and Estelle were completely empathetic, making sure we were OK as well as the care and compassion they showed our boy. Any owner facing this difficult decision would benefit from getting in touch with these two wonderful people. Thank you ladies.

When the day comes & you lose your precious dog its the most heartbreaking decision you have to make, I contacted The Loving Companion,from the moment the phone was answered i knew immediately they were the right ladies, no awkward question that would set you off crying just we will be there please send your address..when they arrived it was like they had known Jay our Dog forever they got on the floor with him talking & loving him,there was absoult no rush.Step by step at my pace with love from them for Jay & compassionate care for me.When the final moment came the respect they had for Jay so gentle & dignified.The final moment was peaceful full of love. I just want to personally thank both ladies for there excellent service & i wouldn't of wanted anybody else to share our special last moments . They kept in touch after bring Jay back home with a beautiful card, print of his paw & nose,with a glass jar with hair neatly wrapped inside. Again when they arrived with Jay there was no rush & took time to talk to me Thank you so much again for your loving, caring service xx

I knew I didn’t want our beautiful boy Bob’s final memory to be going to the vet, so I contacted The Loving Companion and spoke to Estelle. She was absolutely brilliant, so compassionate and respectful and took time to answer my questions and reassured me that Bob would let me know when it was his time to say goodbye. Bob did just that, and when I made that contact with Estelle and Clara I was so relieved that they were available . They arrived at our house and Bob lifted his head, looked at them both as if he was relieved to see them, then put his head back down. If I could describe the whole experience as perfect, well Estelle and Clara made it that way. They were respectful and compassionate, explaining the process to us and gave us time to cuddle and say our final goodbye to Bob, even our other Springer Ozzy, lay with Bob. They dealt with everything, giving me time to grieve. Thank you, you two are very special ladies who left us with a wonderful memory.

We recently used The Loving Companion for our beloved cocker spaniel, Chester, and I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough. Making the booking was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Filling in the form and paying upfront felt incredibly daunting, but I needn't have worried. Almost immediately, I received a reassuring text confirming everything and inviting me to ask any questions. On the day itself, I also received a message to let me know they were on their way, which was greatly appreciated. The two vets, Clara and Estelle, were absolutely wonderful. They were compassionate, calm, and professional from the moment they arrived. We never felt rushed at any stage and were given all the time we needed with Chester. Every step of the procedure was explained clearly and sensitively, which helped us feel supported throughout. After a rainy morning, the sun suddenly came out, and at the last minute I decided I wanted Chester to spend his final moments in the garden, lying in his bed with the sunshine on him. Clara and Estelle didn't hesitate for a second. Despite the wet grass, they happily knelt beside him and carried out the procedure with such kindness and care. Looking back, I realise just how skilled Clara was. Since Chester's passing, I've read many accounts of home euthanasia experiences, and it's made me appreciate even more how expertly she ensured Chester remained comfortable, relaxed, and treated with complete dignity throughout. Everything was handled so smoothly and respectfully from beginning to end. If Chester could have chosen his perfect final day and passing, I genuinely believe this would have been it. He was surrounded by the people who loved him, resting in his own bed, in his own garden, with the sun shining on him. The complimentary fur clipping, paw print, and nose print were also such thoughtful touches and are treasured keepsakes for our family. Thank you, Clara and Estelle, for helping us give Chester the peaceful and dignified goodbye he deserved. We will never forget your kindness.

Estelle and Clara came to our home to put our beautiful dalmatian Bella to rest, it was so peaceful and calm they both explained everything that was happening. They came out litrally last minute the same day and was more than happy to help. Evan though its a horrible situation to be in I know the girls made it more calm and im so happy that it was them who came to help Bella, thankyou from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Such a lovely experience to let your pet go at home. Booked it for 2 hours later without fuss just picking from available spots online and it was such an easy experience and they are so patient and kind to allow for you to grieve and we had another dog that was quite yappy and obviously distressed and they handled it with such empathy and calm and understanding, thank you for being so efficient and respectful and for giving our baby such a comfortable goodbye surrounded by her family in her favourite spot. Definitely worth it to pay that little bit much more and have the experience at home and have the nose and paw print free of charge.

After a short illness We had to make the difficult decision to have our Lab gently put to sleep. We didn’t want to take her to the vet with her last memory being scared on a cold clinical floor. We found the Loving Companion website and sent off a message to Clara & Estelle. A short while later we received a reply explaining the whole process. When the time came these two wonderful ladies came to our home and put us all at ease, incredibly professional but much more importantly incredibly compassionate. Lexi Crossed Rainbow Bridge cuddled up to her favourite teddy on her own bed and surrounded by her family. Yes it was a difficult time but made so much more easier by these two amazing ladies. Nothing was too much trouble and absolutely no rush. When the time comes again we would not hesitate to use the services of The Loving Companion and to anyone else in this situation we highly recommend them. Our beautiful boy, Mr Milo, very sadly had to cross the rainbow bridge far too soon after a short battle with an illness which was causing him unbelievable amounts of pain. Clara and Estelle were so comforting and compassionate from the second I contacted them. As soon as they arrived to our home, their calm, caring nature definitely helped turn an awful situation into one that was peaceful and full of love. They let us take as much time as we needed and we didn't feel rushed. Their attention to how we were feeling and their empathy towards ourselves and Milo is something I'll remember forever. I'll treasure the hair vile, paw and nose prints they took for us, always. I couldn't have asked for anything more from them and I'd 100% recommend them to someone who might be in a similar position. Losing a beloved furry family member is never easy, but Clara and Estelle definitely made it easier. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🤍🌈

At the most difficult and sad time The Loving Companion were amazing. They were very professional but mostly they were kind, patient and very understanding. Not just kind to us but to our beloved dog Alfie. They explained everything to us, gave us as much time as we needed and gave Alfie dignity. They returned Alfie to us within days and showed us the exact same kindness. We are so glad we found Clara & Estelle, it made our decision a little easier. We had requested them at 7.30 am and they came out at 10 am which meant that Alfie and our suffering was not extended. Amazing service from 2 very amazing ladies. Highly recommend.

On 24th June I had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to my beautiful boy Brody. I called The Loving Companion with the request to come to my home. The girls couldn't have been lovelier. Nothing hurried about the visit at all. Brody lay on his bed his doggie music on the TV and surrounded with love. When the moment came he was calm, sedated and a few moments later the final goodbye. All done with dignity and care. He was taken for individual cremation and his ashes returned to me a week later. My heart felt thanks to Clara and colleague for everything. I would wholeheartedly recommend The Loving Companion to anyone who has to face that final goodbye to their beloved pets
