Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is home pet euthanasia?
Home pet euthanasia is a compassionate process that allows pets to pass away peacefully in their own homes surrounded by family. A veterinary surgeon will administer the medication to ensure a calm, pain-free goodbye.

2. How do I know when it’s time to consider euthanasia for my pet?
Determining the right moment can be challenging. If your pet’s overall well-being has declined or they appear to be suffering, euthanasia may be the most compassionate option. We offer quality-of-life assessments to help guide your decision.

3. What should I expect during the procedure?
The process involves:

  1. Sedation – Your pet will relax and fall into a deep sleep.

  2. Euthanasia injection – A painless injection ensures they pass peacefully.

  3. Confirmation – The vet confirms their passing, allowing you to say goodbye.

4. Can I stay with my pet during euthanasia?
Yes, you are welcome to stay and comfort your pet during their final moments. If you prefer not to be present, we will ensure they receive gentle, compassionate care.

5. What happens after my pet has passed away?
We offer different aftercare options, including:

  • Individual cremation (ashes returned)

  • Communal cremation (no ashes returned)
