The loving companion team on a green background

About us

The Loving Companion began with a shared love for animals and a belief that saying goodbye should be peaceful, gentle and full of love.

We first met in veterinary practice in 2017 and quickly discovered that we shared the same values when it came to caring for pets and their families.

In early 2025, we created The Loving Companion to offer families the choice of saying goodbye at home, in a familiar place, surrounded by the people they love.

Since then, we have been trusted to support more than 500 families through one of the hardest moments of pet ownership.

Every pet, every family and every goodbye is different. Our promise is simply to make that moment as calm, personal and compassionate as we possibly can.

With a deep passion for animals from a very young age, it was inevitable I would become a veterinary nurse. I have been qualified for four years and have over seven years of experience working in small animal practice. I have had the privilege of being there for pets and their owners through both joyful moments and the hardest goodbyes. As a pet parent myself I understand how much our fury friends mean to us, they are our family.

My approach to The Loving Companion and veterinary nursing is built on empathy and trust. ensuring that every pet I meet is treated with the love I show my own.
